Aw Snap! Error: How To Fix It On Your Google Chrome?

Method 1 : Windows Registry Change

  • Go the start menu and enter ‘Run
  • Now type ‘ Regedit‘ to open Regedit Application Access
Type Regedit in Run Command Box
  • When the UAC dialog box appears, click Yes to continue
  • Then in the registry editor, you need to go to the following: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\_SOFTWARE\Policies\Google Chrome
  • Now on the right side, create a folder of DWARD 32-bit and name as Renderer Code Integrity Enabled

  • Then set the value of the data to 0

  • Lastly, reboot your computer

Method 2 : Rename the Application

  • Go to the search bar and type ‘This PC
  • Now go to Local Disk C\Program Files [x86]\Google\Chrome\Application
  • Once you have located the name called ‘Chrome‘ simply rename it
  • You can also rename it to ‘Chrom’, ‘Chrome’ anything you want to
  • Lastly, go to ‘Google Chrome’ and your Aw Snap error will be gone

Method 3: Run on Compatibility Mode

  • Firstly, right-click on the “Google Chrome” icon
  • Click on “Properties

  • Click on “Compatibility section” and click on “Change settings for all users

  • Firstly, right-click on the “Google Chrome” icon

  • Click on “Apply” and click on “Continue

Method 5: Update Computer Policy

  • Go to search bar and type“cmd”
  • Click on “Command Prompt” and right-click to choose as an “administrator”

Method 6: Disable and Enable Microsoft Services

  • Go to the search bar and type mscon
  • Click on “System Configuration

  • Then, click on “Disable all
  • After disabling click on “Apply” and “OK” and restart the computer
  • After restarting start from the above -given process and “Enable all” services

Method 7: Clear your Browser’s Cache and Cookies

  • Set the time range to All time

  • Click on the Clear Data button to clear your browsers cookies and cache

Method 8: Disable the Browser Extensions

  • Lastly, click on the Relaunch button to finish the process

Method 11: Change Privacy Settings

  • Open your Google Chrome Browser
  • Click on 3 vertical dots in the upper right corner of the screen and click on Settings
  • Scroll Down and click on Advanced
  • Now go to Privacy and Security and turn on the following things below:
    • Use a web service to help resolve navigation errors
    • Use a prediction service to help complete searches and URLs typed in the address bar
    • Use a prediction service to load pages more quickly
    • Protect you and your device from dangerous sites
    • Automatically send usage statistics and crash reports to Google
  • Restart Google Chrome and check whether the Aw Snap error is fixed or not

13. Disable Hardware Acceleration in Google Chrome

  • Scroll Down and click on Advanced
  • Go to system and disable “Use hardware acceleration when available” option
  • Restart chrome and it will help you in fixing Aw Snap error

14. Run Windows Memory Diagnostic

  • A pop up screen will open select Restart now and check for problems option
  • Lastly, restart your PC

15. Create a New User Profile on Chrome

  • Press Windows + R Key
  • A command box will open copy and paste %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data
  • Press Enter
  • Now back the default folder into a different location in your PC
  • Then delete this default folder

Note – Before applying this method make sure your Chrome is completely closed from the taskbar

16. Disable Sandbox Mode

  • Right-click on the Chrome icon and click on Properties
  • Go to Shortcut section
  • In the Target, field add -no-sandbox after the quotes

Note – Add an empty space after the quote is end and then add -no-sandbox

17. Restart your PC

Restarting your PC solves all types of problems that are recurring in your PC. So try restarting your PC and maybe the issue of Aw Snap will be solved by this method. Also, check-in other friends’ laptops or PC whether they are also facing the same issue or not.

If they are facing a similar type of issue then it must be from the server-side. So don’t worry just be patient until this issue is fixed by the Website Administrator

18. Remove Malware From Google Chrome

  • Open your Google Chrome Browser
  • Click on 3 vertical dots in the upper right corner of the screen and click on Settings
  • Scroll Down and click on Advanced
  • Under “Reset and clean up,” click Clean up computer.
  • Click Find.
  • If you’re asked to remove unwanted software, click Remove.
  • Lastly, reboot your computer.

19. Reload the Website

This is one of the easiest methods to solve your Aw Snap error in your Google Chrome. If you opened a new tab and you got access to other pages then try reloading your website a few times to reload once again so that it might get access and your error can be gone.

20. Reinstall Chrome

If none of the above-given methods work then try to Reinstall your Google Chrome once again. But make sure you uninstall Chrome completely and download Google Chrome from here and see if this issue is fixed or not.
