Steps to put iPhone in Recovery Mode

In order to put your iPhone into Recovery Mode you must connect your iPhone to your MAC or a computer and use iTunes. Here are the Steps to follow:

Step 1: Connect your iPhone/iPod/iPad to a Computer or MAC and use iTunes.

Step 2: Once connected, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and the Home button, in order to force a restart. Press and hold the buttons until you see the iPhone Recovery Mode Screen. Please do not release the buttons after getting the Apple logo on the screen. It will take around 10 secs for the iPhone Recovery Mode screen to appear.

Step 3: Once the iPhone Recovery Screen Appears you will see the options for Restore and Update. Select Update from it. iTunes will reinstall IOS without erasing your data. If your iPhone is stuck into the Recovery Mode for more then 15 mins and by chance, your device exists the iPhone Recovery Mode, then there may be any issue pls try again the same steps but this time chose to restore option instead of update.

Step 4: After the above step, you can reset your iPhone. Also if you have a backup of your data with iTunes or iCloud, you get all your old data back from there.

Steps to get iPhone out of Recovery Mode

If your iPhone is stuck in iPhone Recovery Mode then follow these steps:

Step 1. Connect your iPhone to Mac

Step 2. Run iTunes on your MAC

Step 3. Wait for a while iTunes will detect that the Device in Recovery Mode and will try to restore the device with the latest backup it gets from the iTunes or iCloud.

Step 4. Choose restore and your iPhone will be back to normal. However, you will lose your present personal data, apps that you have, and settings. All of them will be restored to the ones existing in the backup.


How to put your iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone 11, or iPhone 11 Pro into recovery mode

Because iPhone 8 doesn’t have a physical Home button and iPhone X through iPhone 11 Pro don’t have a button at all, recovery mode is accessed via a series of button presses.

👉If iTunes is open on your Mac, close it.

👉Plug your USB to Lightning cable into your computer.

👉Plug your USB to Lightning cable into your iPhone.

👉Open iTunes.

👉Press and release the Volume Up button and then the Volume Down button. Then, press and hold the Side button until you see the iPhone recovery mode screen.

👉Then select update option and iTunes will reinstall IOS without erasing your data.


How to put your iPad Pro with Face ID into recovery mode

Because the iPad Pro (2018) doesn’t have any Home button, recovery mode is accessed through a series of button presses.

👉Press and hold the Sleep/Wake (top) and the volume up or volume down button at the same time until you see the power-off slider.

👉Drag the power-off slider to turn off your iPad Pro.

👉Connect your iPad Pro to your computer while holding down the Sleep/Wake (top) button. Continue holding the Top button until you see the recovery-mode screen.

👉Then select update option and iTunes will reinstall IOS without erasing your data.


How to put your iPhone 7 or Older Version into recovery mode

👉Turn Off your iPhone 7 if it isn’t off already.

👉Press and hold down the volume down button on your iPhone 7.

👉Release the volume down button when you see the Connect to iTunes screen.

👉Then select update option and iTunes will reinstall IOS without erasing your data


How to put your iPhone 6s or Older Version or iPad into recovery mode

👉Turn Off your iPhone if it isn’t off already.

👉Release the volume down button when you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
